At Glen Innes Showgrounds, we are proud to open our doors to a diverse range of groups, clubs, and associations, welcoming both long-time patrons and new users with open arms. Our versatile venue has been the backdrop for a multitude of events that span the spectrum of activities, from educational training to entertaining shows. Here, we offer you the perfect setting for your next event, be it a training session, a thrilling animal competition, a unique auction, or a captivating circus show.

  • Training Events: Our facilities have been chosen by esteemed organizations such as the Police, Rural Fire Service, and Shearers’ School for their training events. Our commitment to providing adaptable spaces ensures that your training event is both comfortable and productive.
  • Animal Events: Glen Innes Showgrounds has been the venue of choice for a wide array of animal events, including Sheep Dog Trials, Pony Club activities, Dog Shows, and Cage Bird and Poultry Shows. Our show ring and pavilions are equipped to accommodate your needs.
  • Antique Auctions and Sales: For collectors and enthusiasts, our venue provides the perfect backdrop for antique auctions and sales, where unique treasures find their new homes.
  • Circus Shows: Experience the magic and wonder of circus shows under our grand circus tent. Our facilities offer the space and amenities necessary for a mesmerizing performance.

Our commitment to excellence

  • Two Expansive Pavilions: With a combined area of 1500 square meters, our pavilions offer the ideal space for exhibits, conventions, and dances.

  • Meeting Rooms: For more intimate gatherings, we provide smaller pavilions and meeting rooms, ensuring that you have the right setting for your event.

  • Commercial Kitchen and Dining Area: Our fully equipped commercial kitchen, cool room, and dining area can comfortably seat 90 guests. Additionally, there’s an outdoor barbecue area and covered seating for another 130, perfect for enjoying meals al fresco.

  • Undercover Bar and Cool Room: Our fully equipped undercover bar and cool room are at your disposal, ready to enhance the experience of your event.

  • Show Ring and Grandstand: The large steel-fenced show ring is complemented by a covered grandstand seating up to 400 people, providing an excellent vantage point for any event.

Old Pavilion

27 x 11 metres of open hall space. This hall has a huge range of versatility


35 x 18 metres internal, seating already in building for approximately 100 people. Fully equipped kitchen – 2 gas stoves and ovens, 11 metres in total of stainless steel bench tops for food preparation, plus one fridge. Toilet facilities at rear of building.


6 x 9 metres, 28 chairs, 8 tables, Separate kitchen area has an electric stove, microwave, fridge, sink with instant gas hot water. Room could seat 30 to 40 people.


Consists of a show ring with fully covered spectator seating area, numerous steel yard facilities incorporating a operational cattle handling crush and work area, plus steel loading ramp with easy access.

Outside Show Ring 43 x 22 metres. Inside shed space is 3 separate areas measuring 22 x 10 metres primarily used for tethering show cattle in a shaded area.

Off to the side of the showing ring is an open shed 12 x 6 metres.

18 x 11 metres internal, seating for at least 100 people. 3 stand raised shearing board. Toilet facilities.

90 mtr long x 12 mtr depth. Height at front 4 mtrs to 3.2mtr at the rear of shed.

Tea Rooms

Tea Room – consists of four sections all of which can be hired independently or hired as one.
1. Commercial Kitchen – including cool room, fridge, gas stoves, urn, Bain Marie and dishwasher.
2. Dining Area –
includes tables and chairs to seat max 90.
3. BBQ Area –
undercover including bbq, tables and chairs to seat max 70.
4. Cordial Booth -for take-aways only,
includes fridge, cool room and freezer.
